Fiddle players, fiddle enthusiasts, lovers of good music and good times, you will be proud to know that JT's Fiddle Off is back this October at the Landmark Saloon in Portland, OR. Last year, we had folks from as far away as Seattle, Hood River and even San Antonio, TX join in the fun. Our judging panel featured world renowned fiddler and Portland native, Gabrielle Macrae, world renowned mandolinist, Brian Oberlin and National Fiddle Champion, Aarun Carter. If that don't ring your bell, your clapper's broke! 

The Top 5 fiddlers of the day received cash money as well as a prize bag. Our Grand Champion, Best Square Dance Fiddler and Crowd Favorite each received cash money and handmade leather wallets from Hawk Leather Goods. Click the image below for a full recap with videos and more photos.

Enough about last year! Let's talk about this year. My friends at Bubbaville have been so kind to come back on board this year as a sponsor. This event would not be what it is without their support. If you are not familiar with Bubbaville, check out the Portland Old Time Gathering. The event has been going on for years and is one of the premier events in the country of its kind. It is held every 3rd weekend of January, so just go ahead and mark that weekend off your calendar, too!
