Welcome!

You may notice some changes around here…

I’ve been up late working on some things. Take a look around if you like. There’s some cool stuff available here. :)

…Also, I’m giving away a song we recorded live on the porch not long ago. Feel free to grab it below.

If you’ve stopped by the porch in the last few years, you know Ive got a handful of songs that need to be cut. Well, I finally have got that opportunity to put some of these songs down. It will be a simple offering, recorded at a friends place just across the bridge. Just me, the songs and maybe my fiddle and a couple friends may bring their fiddles over, too.

Anyway, if you wanna stay up to date on things, you’re in the right place. Honestly, I am grateful you are here. Here, you have a direct connection to me, so take a look through and tell me what you think. Go ahead, send it to me, jt@jttrawick.com.

But don’t forget your free song!

Borrowin’ Guitars and Stealin’ Hearts

JT Trawick ft Luke Price

Borrowin’ Guitars and Stealin’ Hearts is likely a true story for many people, including myself. It’s true, this came into my head after a relationship gone wrong. Seemed perfect to do in the classic country two-step groove with a fiddle kick, a sound made famous by Ray Price and Hank Williams. It is very possibly inspired by a song recorded in the

It is very possibly inspired by a song recorded in the early 70’s by Porter Wagoner & Dolly Parton and also the Osborne Brothers entitled Each Season Changes You.

Maya Angelou says the duty of an artist is to reflect the times. This was my life for a season. I’ve tried to honor my heroes with this sound and create something authentic, real and relevant. Mostly, I hope you enjoy it. Thanks for listening.

The day I settled down and found true love, it was so sweet but I knew it was too good to be true We were in love, but feelings change like seasons do and soon our love did freeze and die within

Now I’m, Borrowin’ guitars and stealin’ hearts, that’s what I do Until I find the perfect match for me and I’m, Takin’ my time to play each one I find It’s the only way to know which one’s for me

Three years we were together ’til our feelings changed Two more years it took for us to work it out Now we're through and I’m all alone again just sittin’ around, tryin’ to figure it out

Now I’m, Borrowin’ guitars and stealin’ hearts, that’s what I do Until I find the perfect match for me and I’m, Takin’ my time to play each one I find It’s the only way to know which one’s for me

Recorded live from my front porch with fiddle, guitar and voice, this is about as raw as country music gets. Featuring my friend, 4-time Grand National Fiddle Champion, Luke Price on fiddle and harmony voice, hopefully folks will enjoy this song as we continue in that classic tradition, but in our own way.
